"Rhin" listed at place of birth, POB for father, POB for mother.Another "Joseph Gemeinhardt is listed the same year in the City Directory as a waiter at "Fabacher". Possibly not enumerated in the 1880 Census - there is a "Wife" listed as "married" but no husband enumerated. Joseph Fabacher/Oyster Bay, Restaurant/and/Lager Beer Saloon" is advertised at 71 and 73 Gravier Street between Magazine and Tchoupitoulas, "Hot lunch from 10:30 am to 2 pm daily. Board, with room, $1.50 per day". Daily Picayune Oct. 20, 1879:1.
