St. Rosalie Plantation, 1867, U.S. Freedmen's Bureau Records (1865-1878), Louisiana (M1905), Plantation Department, Roll 046, Labor Contracts, 1866-1868, Plaquemines Parish.

The name Augustine Gabriel is a suggested alternative to Augustine Girod  because Augustine's wife's name is Caroline, the same name as the mother of Gertrude. Baptism records for Gertrude's children (including Caroline) indicate that her last name was Gabriel.
Point a la Hache Records for Gertrude Petit nee Gabriel.
